This is where Danny fell in love with Pediatric medicine. After graduation, he started working at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, Florida in Pediatrics. Later, Danny relocated to the North Georgia Mountains.
He worked at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta faithfully for 15 years. While he worked there, he rotated through the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Neonatal ICU (NICU), AFLAC Unit (Cancer and Blood Disorders) and Cardiac ICU (CICU). While at CHOA, Danny was recognized with the prestigious Daisy Award.

Sheila’s nursing career began more than 35 years ago as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Nursing at Emory University with a focus on Midwifery. She has practiced as an Advanced Practice Nurse in this community for more than 25 years, primarily in Family Practice, caring for patients across the lifespan. As a Certified Nurse Midwife, she delivered babies for more than 20 years, and went on to earn a Doctorate Degree in Nursing. Providing care in a Family Practice setting, she had the privilege of caring for growing families. This inspired her to continue her education so as to become certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Beyond patient care, Sheila is a nursing instructor and preceptor. Her love for nursing and learning is a motivation to invest in the education of future nurses and Nurse Practitioners. Her interests include health promotion and maintenance, as well as patient education and patient advocacy – particularly on behalf of the vulnerable and infirm.
Sheila’s family is central to her life. She enjoys spending time with her parents, children, and grandchildren – gardening, picnicking, hiking, and riding bikes. She also enjoys reading, baking, sewing, and knitting.
Holly has always prioritized the most meaningful aspects of life: family, faith, and service. Born and raised in Florida and Georgia, she grew up in a home where love and care were at the center of everything. Today, she is a mother to nine children and a devoted wife to Danny, a provider here at Grace, where they have built a life centered on their Christian values.
Holly’s professional journey began at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, where she studied to become a Dental Hygienist. Upon graduating, she worked for 13 years in the field, helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. However, when she married Danny, her priorities shifted. As a new mother, Holly made the decision to leave her career behind to focus on raising and homeschooling their children. Over the next 21 years, she dedicated herself to teaching and nurturing her children at home, providing them with a strong educational foundation and a deep sense of faith.
Throughout her life, Holly’s passion for family time has been unwavering. She cherishes moments spent with her children, whether they are gathered around the dinner table or engaged in home projects. When she’s not spending time with her loved ones, Holly enjoys baking and sewing, hobbies that bring her joy and a sense of accomplishment.
In addition to her nurturing spirit, Holly's faith plays an integral role in her life. Her mission is to show God’s grace to everyone she meets, offering kindness, compassion, and understanding in all her interactions. She believes that her greatest purpose is to serve her family and her community, living out her faith in practical, everyday ways.
Looking ahead, Holly and Danny dream of traveling together, exploring new places and making memories as they embark on this next chapter of their lives. For now, Holly continues to focus on what matters most—her family, her faith, and her commitment to living a life that reflects God's love and grace.

Ivy doesn't realize that she was brought into this world to be a Therapy Dog. She was made to be a lover. She enjoys (and demands) for someone to always be petting and loving on her.
Ivy is here at Grace everyday to be a lover for anyone who needs to pet a dog. If your child, or an adult who likes animals and would like for Ivy to be in the room while they get their exam, shots, or treatment please let us know. She would be so happy! Ivy also accepts treats :-)
